Meredith is a proud North Carolina native, hailing from the small town of Walnut Cove in Stokes County. She attended East Carolina University, where she completed her BS in Communications.

Meredith is a passionate fundraiser for cause, with a strong background in nonprofits. A career highlight was working as Hospitality Manager and fundraising for Victory Junction, a camp for children with serious illnesses founded and run by legendary NASCAR royalty, The Petty Family, in honor of their late son Adam. At Victory Junction, Meredith hit yearly fundraising goals of $10MM+ and attended events on behalf of the camp nationwide.

Meredith also co-founded the MAP Gala, which helps to fund scholarships for children with autism to attend the Meredith Autism Program at Meredith College. As part of MAP Gala leadership, Meredith helps plan onsite logistics, event sponsorships, and the silent auction.

Meredith has spent her most recent years as a devoted wife to Dr. Nevin Shrimanker of Raleigh, and mother to their two sons, Weston (14) and Brenner (13). When she’s not running her boys between tennis, baseball, and school, you can find Meredith at outdoor concerts, college football games (Go Pirates!), and on the hunt for her next big fish!
