Mailbag: How Quickly Can We Sell Our Home?
What is a realistic timeline for selling a home, especially in a good neighborhood? Angie answers this question from the mailbag, as well as another one about winning a bidding war.
On today’s podcast we answer two questions from the mailbag, one from a buyer and one from a seller. From navigating bidding wars to addressing timelines, Angie and her team are always ready to help their clients.
Steve in Morrisville has missed out on too many homes due to bidding wars and has decided to part ways with his realtor. How successful is Angie and her team in helping clients win in a bidding war? What can be done to stand out? Sometimes working with the right people can make all the difference. It’s not always about the highest bid. Sometimes it’s the personal letter or the smooth communication between realtors.
Sally in Raleigh says she and her husband both recently lost their jobs and will likely retire early. To make this possible, they plan to downsize their home. How quickly can they expect to get their home to market and have the sale go through? From the Bedford neighborhood where Sally currently lives, what is typical? What kind of amenities does the neighborhood offer that might appeal to buyers?
The last thing Angie wants is for the client to feel pressure to sell. Now is a good time, but it really depends on what the client wants. Angie shares about a client who originally started the process years ago but then changed their mind, whereas as some can clients want to move as quickly as possible.
